Video Analysis
How to use the Video Analysis tool, what you can analyze, how to prompt effectively, example use cases, and technical limits.
The Video Analysis tool lets you ask questions about any video — summarize content, transcribe dialogue, identify specific moments, analyze tone and mood, or extract structured insights. The AI processes both the visual and audio track simultaneously, giving you a complete understanding of the video without watching it manually.
What You Can Analyze
Your uploaded videos — any video stored in Qolaba or accessible via CDN
YouTube videos — any public YouTube URL
Duration — videos up to approximately 45 minutes (longer videos up to 3 hours supported at lower visual quality)
Content — both visual elements (scenes, actions, objects, on-screen text) and audio (speech, dialogue, music, sounds)
How to Use It
Provide two things in your message:
The video URL — a link to your video in Qolaba storage or a public YouTube URL
Your prompt — a clear question or instruction about what you want to know
Example:
What You Can Do

Technical Limits
Maximum duration
~45 minutes (up to 3 hours at lower visual quality)
Processing time
Up to 10 minutes for longer videos
Sampling rate
~1 frame per second with continuous audio processing
Videos per request
One video at a time for best results
Supported formats
MP4, WebM, MOV, and most common formats
Accessibility
Video must be publicly accessible or stored in Qolaba
What to Avoid
Vague requests — "Tell me everything" produces unfocused results
Multiple complex tasks in one prompt — split them into separate requests
Analyzing multiple videos at once — one video per request for best results
Speculation — the tool analyzes what exists in the video, not external context or predictions
